A newly refurbished elevated luxury apartment, very private with no passing traffic. Overlooking the beautiful traditional fishing village of Burgau and the Monchique mountains. Set in the 4 star Domus Ibericus complex. There is one double en-suite with a walk-in shower and a twin bedroom with separate bathroom. A foldaway bed/cot/highchair can be provided. There is free WiFi and TV with all UK channels, the kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, blender, fridge/freezer, carbon monoxide & smoke detectors. The apartment has air conditioning/heating and safety deposit box. Electric shutters throughout. All linen, towels and beach towels supplied. Burgau is a small fishing village , a get away from it all gem in the west coast of the Algarve. The magnificent blue flag beach is a four minute stroll from the apartment, here you can rent out sun loungers and umbrellas relax over a drink in the beach bar as you soak up the beautiful sunshine,maybe take a dip in the sea. In 2010 Burgau was voted by readers of lonely planet as the 'quaintest beach style village in Europe'. There are a selection of restaurants and bars located along the cobbled streets that lead to the beach,there are shops for your everyday needs which makes it unnecessary to leave the the peace and tranquility of this village. Praia de Luz is easily accessible on a beautiful 40 minute cliff walk or 5 minutes drive. Here you can stock up on essentials in a large supermarket. There is a magnificent long beach where you can rent out sun loungers and take part in numerous water activities. Stroll along the promenade taking in the atmosphere of local craftsmen selling their arts and crafts, stop and relax at the many outdoor bars and have a coffee or a drink watching the people go by and watch the sun set over the ocean. There is a wide range of restaurants and bars to choose from. Lagos is a ten minute drive from Burgau either catch the local bus or hire a taxi, with its magnificent marina and beaches, dolphin watching, cobbled streets, shopping, bars and some nightclubs. There are numerous Golf courses nearby, water park, zoo, bowling, cinema. One can venture further west from the apartment and visit the beautiful fishing village of Salema, continue to Sagres to take in all the surfing or a visit to Cape St.Vincent and witness the most beautiful sunset in the whole of Europe.
Fly to Faro which is 70 minutes drive from Burgau. Airport transfers can be arranged at extra cost or car hire companies available. Cost of transfers each way is €75.When entering the village the bus stop is on the right , the apartment complex is 200m on the right . Our apartment is in the first block on the right .
