This is a beautiful, bright and spacious apartment on the 3rd (top) floor of the Quinta da Amoreira complex (a private condominium), close to the beautiful beaches (900mtr) and Alvor villages (1.5km). A mere 10/15 min walk. The apartment is accessible by lift or stairs. It has been tastefully decorated throughout with a great "home from home" feel and has every convenience a family would require (incl. internet, wifi and international TV). Airconditioning was installed in the 3 bedrooms during 2018 to provide added comfort during the hot summer months of July - September. It is very spacious with total floor area of 110 sq. mtr. The downstairs is a very large open plan space with a newly fitted modern kitchen: a lounge area and with comfortable seating and a separate TV area, with all the English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese etc. channels (incl. A lovely south facing sunny balcony (10 sq.mtr) has uninterupted sea-views and overlooks the pools with plenty of sun-loungers.The balcony has a spacious built-in couch, plus 2 tables and chairs. An awning provides shelter from the sun. Upstairs is a further 55 sq. mtr. with 3 bedrooms, bathroom and utility cupboard with washing machine. The master bedroom is very spacious with a comfortable kingsize bed and small desk with TV. The large twin room has 2 single beds (and a full size/height pull-out bed) and the smaller single bedroom has 1 single bed (with another single full size/height pull-out bed). All 3 bedrooms have ample size built-in wardrobes. A cot and high-chair are also available. Each of the 3 bedrooms are fitted with individually controlled air conditioning. The bathroom on this floor has a toilet, sink and rain-shower. The utility cupboard holds a supply of bath- and beach-towels. In addition, items you may need for the beach e.g. umbrellas, windscreens, chairs, cool box and beach toys can be found in the wardrobe in the single room. The large garden to the rear has a children's playground and communal BBQ with 2 charcoal grills. A car is not required (but may be convenient). It is only a 10/15 min walk to either the beach or Alvor village. There is a small convenience store (mini mercado) across the road from the complex, a mere 2 minute walk. A large Supermarche supermarket can be found around the corner,a mere 5 min walk away, on the way towards Portimao, and an Aldi or Liddle are 2.5 km towards Portimao. There is also a bus stop nearby (4 min walk) that can bring you into Alvor or to Portimao. There are some (very) good restaurants and bars also within a 5 min walk from the apartment and of course Alvor center is only 15/20 min walk, providing further entertainment etc. A taxi fare into Alvor is approx. €5 -€6
The Algarve has a temperate climate almost all year round and boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year. The Algarve has some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Portugese people are friendly and helpful, the food is great and the wine excellent! The ancient coastal village of ALVOR is now a very popular holiday destination. It is well located facing a natural lagoon opening onto the sea. Close to this lagoon is an amazing maze of walking paths has been built offering lovely views and peaceful walks for all the family. The beach is Alvor is absolutely amazing and there are a number of small coves tucked under the cliffs. There are lovely restaurants located along the beachfront. Alvor beach is extremely clean and the local council are out early in order to maintain the long stretch of lovely white sand.
The restaurants, bars and nightclubs provide great entertainment for all the family. This village has maintained its very quaint ambiance and is a joy to visit. There are 7 golf courses within a 15-20 minute drive, e.g. Alto Golf, Penina, Morgado, Palmares, Boavista and Pestana Pinta.
Aqualand in Armacao de Pera - lots of fun for the children.
A day out for all the family at the biggest Water Park in Portugal.

If you want to hire a car to travel to Alvor then it couldn't be easier! Simply collect your car from Faro Airport and enjoy a straightforward drive through central and western Algarve to Alvor, either down the A22 motorway (a toll road) or down the secondary N125 road.
There is no direct train or bus to Alvor; Get the train to Portimão (regional train 6€) then a bus to Alvor (1,50 €) or travel from Faro to Alvor by Bus: Get a bus to Portimão (5,50€) then change bus to Alvor (1,50€)
The Resorthoppa bus service runs from Faro airport and cost approx. € 15 pp, each way.
A booking deposit of 30% is required. The balance payable 6-8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
There are gardens to the rear of the development with a children's playground and a communal BBQ(x2).
A lift is available for easy access to the 3rd floor.
Simply amazing!!! - Best home away from home ever! Very comfortable and clean apartment. Equipped with everything you need and more:) Great swimming pool and beach just a short walk away. We were sharing the apartment with 5 friends (7 in total) and it was perfect. We were sad to leave ... Would totally recommend the apartment and the host. andele was very professional and helpful. "Had a lovely week here in May. Def a home from home. Every home comfort you could ask for. Rainfall showers,lovely new kitchen with induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tv with all the channels. Lots of instructions from the owner re places to go and see in the area. It was lovely to sit on the balcony with the sea view having breakfast. We got taxis into town at night for € 5. Called from apt and they were at the gate in a few mins. Lots of lovely restaurants in Alvor. Havinng a car at our disposal was a good idea but we walked to the beach most days. Will def be back. (June 2016)
"I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody visiting the lovely town of Alvor. I had a lovely few weeks holiday here with 3 of my friends and we really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The view from the apartment and the many evenings we spent relaxinng on this balcony have created lasting emories for us aging women. The owners have put a lot of thought into the decor and the layout of the apartment ans it its fully equipped for your every need while on holidays. (May, 2016)
