It also has a large stone fireplace which provides a stunning feature in the room. The kitchen and dining room are designed in the traditional old Irish country cottage style with high ceilings and exposed beams and old Irish dresser and provides all mod cons and equipment. The cottage is situated in Lohar just minutes from Waterville “An Coirean” “The Little Whirlpool” which nestles between Balinskelligs Bay and Lough Currane.
It is famous for its Golf, Fishing and Shooting. There are many more outdoor activities available locally.

There are daily trips to the Skellig Rock from Portmagee. Skellig Rock which you can see from the cottage on waking in the morning is a trip that must not be missed. See the 12th century monastic settlement words can not explain the magic and beauty of this extraordinary place.
Also at your doorstep is Valentia Island with its slate quarry the scenic Skellig Ring and famous chocolate factory.
In the opposite direction over the hill you can experience more wonderful sights and a superb range of beaches .Visit Daniel O’Connell’s restored house museum and heritage centre and beautiful gardens.
