The Costa Almeria enjoys the best climate on mainland Spain with the most hours of sunshine throughout the year. On average 320 days per year and more hours of daylight than anywhere else. This South Eastern corner of Spain is blessed with the ideal holiday climate.
Known as the Romantic Coast. This area is virtually unspoilt unlike the other Costas ,no high rise buildings or over deveopment is permitted. Most of the new buildings are only 2 story high and in the Moorish style,so although Mojacar Playa has wide sandy beaches ,and plenty of nightclubs, discos, bars and a wide range of cusines in lots of restaurants it is stylish and quite typically Spanish.
.To the east of Almeria we find the rugged and desolate coast of the Cabo de Gata - Nijar natural park. This is an arid desert landscape and the annual rainfall here is less than 200mm. It is sparsely populated, few villages and a very low population density. Visitors feel a sense of exploration here as many of the coves can only be reached on foot.

Mojacar Pueblo , 3 kilometres from the playa is a white hillside village with houses clinging seemingly impossibly to the hillside, narrow streets with promises of secrets round every corner and wonderful flowerbedecked restaurants and tapas bars. You will feel the the strong sense of history and fall in love with its amazing charm.

GOLF we are situated quite close to some wonderful courses, the nearest is 10 minute drive away and DESERT SPRINGS is nearby, the Desert in EuropeAND VAL D'ESTE ARE ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY

Almeria has a fine modern airport served by an ever-expanding number of scheduled and charter flights. Ryanair has flights to Murcia from Dublin, Cork, Belfast Gatwick, and Stansted, Aer Lingus, and other carriers fly into Murcia and Alicante.
Distances: Almeria - 1 hour. Murcia - 1 hour 45 minutes and Alicante - Approx. 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The motorways are nearly empty so it's a pleasant drive south to the gorgeous Costa Almeria.

Our stay in B1 , Mojacar
We rented this 3 bed apartment for 6 weeks. As a family that goes to Mojacar most years we had a feast time at this apartment . It’s set back from the main playa but for us it better as it’s quieter but an easy walk to the beach and restaurants etc. The owner dealt with a few niggles very well which can happen and made our stay very lovely . Book with confidence!!

Great Location
We travelled in early June and the weather was just fantastic. Transfer from the hotel was seamless. On arrival at the apartment we were blown away by how easy the instructions were to follow got the key from the key safe. Upon opening the door we were met with an impeccably clean, bright and welcoming living/dining room with a fully stocked kitchen with every utensils you needed. Ready made beds in 2 spacious bedrooms with a super cave room for younger children...on further investigation we found the pool which we spent lots of time around with the comfortable loungers provided..after a short walk you were on the beach front or playa...with shops, restaurants and bars on the one side and the beach on the other..we all had a spectacular holiday and would highly recommend the apartment, the whole booking process was pain free, Mojácar is a great family location and easy to get around. Regular buses to the old village or up and down the coast at reasonable prices. Larger supermarkets a short drive or if no car they do deliveries. In all a 5 star location. We will go back

Excellent self catering holiday .
Lovely property that is exactly as described, clean tidy and welcoming. The owner is very very helpful and welcoming. The pool is lovey clean , although I might suggest that they allow plastic glasses to have a drink. all in all one of the best holidays I've ever had.....recommend it very very highly.

"I recently took a vacation to Mojacar with my family it was one of the most relaxing holiday's I ever had. The apartment was up to an extremely high standard and there was someone on the ground who could be there within 10 minutes if there was any issue with the property. Prior to the vacation, Iverna (The lady who owns the Apartment) had sent me detailed directions to the apartment which I found with no hassle and an excellent document outlining all the restaurants and local bars she recommended. Mojacar itself is a picturesque town amazingly suited for young and old families. I had an amazing time there and will certainly go back in the future. The property was in impeccable condition and there was the added bonus of having an extremely private pool there which is great for the kids and English cable was an additional bonus for the kids to watch a bit of T.V in the morning while we made our plans for the day. I would highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at your apartment in Mojacar. Apartment was pristine - everything we needed was there - customer service was excellent. Ideal location. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend /relative. This was our first time to visit this part of Spain. Mojacar was a very good base to explore the area - particularly the Parque Natural Cabo de Gata-Nijar. We enjoyed the beaches at Mojacar, Playa de los Muertos and around Las Negras & San Jose. We also enjoyed some hill and coasts walking particularly the La Mena - Macenas Loop Walk from Mojacar Playa and the circuit of Mojacar Pueblo. All in all a wonderful week. Plenty more to do & see. Somos una familia de 6 personas que hemos alquilado una semana este apartamento. El apartamento tiene espacio suficiente para 6. Las tres habitaciones son amplias. Totalmente equipado y limpio para pasar una semana. En verano son imprescindibles el aire acondicionado y la piscina Es fantástico y facilita mucho las vacaciones que el apartamento disponga de toallas de playa, sillas de playa y parasol. El wifi funciona perfectamente. Dispone de un patio exterior y de barbacoa, que hubiésemos utilizado si hubiese hecho menos calor. Está a 300 metros de la playa y de la zona más turística. No hay ruido por la noche. Aparcamiento en la puerta. La comunicación con la propietaria ha sido por correo electrónico y todo muy fácil. F Blanch

We stayed as a family, grandparents, parents and two children and had a wonderful time. The apartment was exactly as described and more. It was obvious that the owner stays at the apartment on occasions because there were lots of extra little touches. The layout flowed well and the location was spot on. Just a five minute walk to bars, restaurants and the beach. The communal pool was lovely and there were a number of beach chairs in the apartment for use by the pool. We had excellent customer service from the owner when we did need it, her response was extremely efficient and professional. We would certainly recommend the apartment to family and friends and in fact, we are thinking, as a family of booking it again for next year. Overall an excellent place to stay.

We had a great time in this apartment, there was so much space we all chilled out and had such a good holiday. The kitchen was very well equipped which was great as we love to cook, the supermarkets have an incredible selection of the finest seafood from fresh lobsters, king prawns, calmares etc.The meat is succulent and reasonably priced . of course there is a fine array of fresh fruit and vegetables many grown in the region, as were some of the wines so we were spoilt for choice. Because we stayed in so much we enjoyed having so many UK TV channels the younger folk loved the WIFI and the pool. All in all the holiday was a great hit and we will be back next year. We have already recommended it to our family

Stayed here for 18 nights and can't rate the villa highly enough. It's in a great location, near the beach and local cafés. We found it very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The property has a nice little pool for cooling off in the heat of the summer. Iverna was very good at communicating, informative and very friendly. Definitely recommend this property to family's or groups of friends who want a nice relaxing holiday.


Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely property, it was just what we needed ,we had everything we could possibly need and there was plenty of room for all of us ...it felt like our private villa with a pool in the garden! We found some super restaurants nearby and we all had a lovely time. We will be back next year! BN

We loved the apartment! There were 3 large bedrooms - comfortably sleeps 6 and very suitable for children. Air conditioning which can be adjusted to each room and made living in the high heat of summer very comfortable indeed.
The kitchen and living room were well furnished and comfortable and well kept and cleaned - the linen was changed efficiently mid stay and the beach towels were also provided (lovely large ones too!) which was an added bonus for packing...

The pool was absolutely fabulous - large and cool and very well maintained - it was a shared pool but there was rarely anyone else there so it felt like our own private pool as it was just a walk accross the grass from the apartment for us! Kids loved it..

5 minute walk down to the beach - 10 back! handy for all local amenities but away from the noise and bustle of the main drag. The beaches were beautiful and endless and the restaurants, bars and cafes were endless and all seemed good and pretty friendly.

Mojacar Playa is a great location for families and couples alike and has everything you could want for on a holiday (the water park was only a 10 min drive/bus away and was good fun too). I would definitely recommend this apartment to others, although if you or your children like to meet others when away, it wasn't in the best location for socialising as it was mainly residential not holiday lets, but this was not an issue for us particularly and there is always the Kimerick accross the street which seemed very social... we had a great holiday and would go back with pleasure.

My husband and I and our 2 year old son stayed in this villa in March 2008. My husband needed to be near to a motorcycle race track as he races bikes and I needed to be near to a beach/beaches, playgrounds and cafes as I was looking after our 2 yr old without a car while my husband was away racing. The apartment was very well equiped with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and English television and a DVD player and very comfortable with everything you need. It was very quiet and we were not bothered by noise from any other apartments. My 2 year old loved the caveroom. The patio was lovely on warm evenings to have a BBQ or just eat outside. The location is fabulous and only 5 minutes from golden sandy beaches and lovely restaurants. You can easily manage without a car as there is a supermarket 5 minutes walk away and beaches and playgrounds on the beachfront. We found some lovely restaurants on the seafront and my son enjoyed the fantastic "playgrounds" that are affluent along the promenade. If you do have a car it only takes about half an hour to drive into the mountains or along a coastal road to secluded beaches and little villages. We loved it so much (so much so that my second son was conceived in this apartment!), and will definately be returning again this summer. Very child friendly. Petts Wood, Kent, UK

I have recently returned from above property in Mojacar. The directions provided by the owner were very good with no problems parking at apartment. The property was as described it was very clean and tidy. It has three bedrooms one of the rooms would only be suitable for young children. The courtyard is great for eating in with lovely flowers and a lemon tree. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had some ploblems with the television due to bad storm but the owners rep. Martha came very promptly to sort this matter out. The pool is lovely the owner provides sun chairs to use at the pool. The beach is great about 10 minutes walk. Driving is easy in Mojacar but the buses will take you everywhere at only 1 euro. Lots of different restaurants along the playa prices very good. Take the bus up to the Pueblo worth a visit. We had a lovely stay in Pueblo del Cantel and would recommend it for a nice peaceful holiday. Co Dublin Ireland

My husband and I and our two boys aged 7 and 5 really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was spacious and well maintained. The pool was very relaxing as very few people used it - one down side you are not allowed to use sun loungers or chairs! The apartment is close to all of the restaurants and shops and to the lovely beaches of Mojacar. A resource book with recommendations for places to eat and to see was provided in the apartment and we found this great. A short trip by car will bring you up to the mountains. I would definitely recommend it!

This is a fantastic property, fully equipped and with every comfort. It's like a villa with a garden, patio and everything for the beach and pool, which you mostly have exclusive use of. All shops, bars and beach are a short stroll away. The bar opposite is great but not noisy at night, so just right. We took a family group and had a lovely time, thanks to having everything we needed G.M.
